Sufjan Stevens!!!

So i saw him play in Grand Rapids yesterday. Great show, all in all - a bit dissapointing that he didn't play anything from "Greetings from Michigan: The Great Lakes State", especially considering he was playing very close to his hometown, but i figure that the band he is touring with hasn't learned the material from that album. Regardless, it was an experience - i was really surprised to see that he was able to sing in the same style and with the same grace live as he does on his studio recordings. Not to mention that they pretended to be cheerleaders the entire show, and started most songs off with a big cheer. :grin:

highly recommend for people to see him if he is anywhere near you - I'm going to write up a longer concert review and try to get it published in a few places, so i'll keep you all updated!
