He truly is an amazing musician. He never fails to be good at what he does. His song about John Wayne Gacey is amazing. Just thought I'd let everyone that doesn't already have some of his albums to download some because you are missing out on some really good music.

I really liked the whole Illinoise album. It's all I've heard from him, though.

I was just thinking of the John Wayne Gacey JR song when I saw this post...now I'm listening to it. Good call!

My favorites are:
The Avalanche The Upper Penninsula To Be Alone With You
Also, Pulaski Day is good
For some reason I'm thinking of The Decemberists right now...you like them?

I'm a pretty touchy feely guy, but even I have to say that Sufjan sings like a bitch. I'm sorry.
This music is more my style:

i like his voice... its calming, and its unique. I also like Elliott Smith's voice. I like that style, I can't help but be calm and relaxed with I hear them.

Can't say that I've ever listened to much of their music. I'll check 'em out though.

Give it a try. And Elliot Smith for sure if you like Sufjan.

I totally used to dig Elliott Smith too, but as I've been getting older I've been drifting more and more away from that style for some reason.
These days I listen to a lot of French Pop, Techno, and Folk it seems. More power to you though. Better Sufjan Stevens than what some of our members listen too

The John Wayne Gaycey song is creepy as hell and one of my favorite on the album.
"Oh my god, are you one of them?"
Elliott Smith
