When you try to attach a file that's bigger than the allotted file attachment size.. it will sit there and load and load and load the entire thing.. even on dsl this is slow sometimes... and then it will go through. But when you click the link if it is over the size limit it will just link you to the main forum index.

It would be nice if we tried to upload a file that was too big of a file.. if it would tell us that..and not let us go any further... instead of waiting for 5 minutes for it to load and then finding out it doesn't work.


Also while we are on the subject.. is there a way we could get a history list (archive) of sorts, of all the files we have attached? You know.. for easy referencing.. say we want to dig up a song we posted a couple weeks ago. Instead of digging through posts, or re-uploading the same song (wasting bandwidth).. we have a list of all the media attachments we have uploaded ?

great ideas.

not too informed about how the file system works,
but i do imagine they delete inactive files on an idle expiration period?
