The Age of Consent........

I can't believe the ages of consent in some countries! And even in the US there are many states with the age being 16!! For some reason I assumed the age was 18 for all states. This makes me want to go find me some 16 year old girls and bring them back to a hotel room. Does that make me a bad person?

I guess in South America sexuality isn't repressed at its onset (puberty) and people don't pretend that it doesn't exist until you're 16 or 18 when it suddenly appears out of nowhere.

That 16 thing makes me wonder why 18 is the legal minimum for nudity? Then there are the situations where people under 18 do appear nude (like the girl from "American Beauty", who was underage when she did the topless scene). What's up with that?

The going to another country thing is to prevent selling kids into prostitution. There is/was a real problem with freaky US guys going to Thailand to have sex with 8-9 year old girls. I can totally agree with not allowing someone to go fuck a 8 year old. In other countries they won't enforce the age of consent, especially if they are getting kickbacks. The US has to enforce the law for them. I would imagine that 14 is the point of agreement between the US and elsewhere.

Keep in mind folks, history will show that the age of 14-16ish has been pretty standard as the age of consent all over the world.. It was the norm for women to get married at around 15 or so, and have children.

Back in the day, a boy would be considered a man by the time he's 13 or so as well. This just goes to show that there really is no universal, absolute, set age for when anyone "becomes" a man or woman.

I've met an attractive Asian 14 year old girl who, within the first 2 minutes of conversing, right out of the blue, starts flooding the entire conversation with sex, with overly suggestive body behavior indicating that she was in serious desire of my..manly services, so to speak. I never did give it to her, but I was tempted, of course.

Where I'm from there's a 3 year gap in the age of consent, so a 19 year old could hook up with a 16 year old legally.

Maturity is a major issue. In the US atleast the age at which a person becomes mature enough for a sexual relationship has been rising. Fifty years ago girls were mature enough to settle down and have a family at 14-15. Today they are too obsessed with trivial things at that point in life.
