what is the shelf life of DB compost

I have 10 pounds of DB compost . I have been waiting over a month to get a syringe from Sporechicks. Add another 2-3 weeks for incubation and that makes 2 months that my compost has been sitting in the bag. So does anyone know how long I have before losing it to lack of moisture or contamination.

That compost has plenty of moisture.You don't need to worry about that. You should repasteurize it before you use it since it will be sitting in that damp enviroment for so long.You can just leave it in the bag for pasteurization, and you will have plenty of moisture when you are done. Place it on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at 180-200 for 2 hrs. That should do the trick. Don't let the plastic touch the elements!!

Yes, just repasturize it for about 30 minutes at 160-170F.
Squeeze the water out until its barely dripping, and it should be fine stil.
