you should add that name to the list.. i was just reading some article that some churchy guy wrote and he said that the bible said that when the end of the world comes there will be great flooding... so if you are into that kinda stuff you best be cl ickin yes on the riot thing.. i think i would join in on a riot if i agreed why it was going on.

Call me old-fashioned, but I say stealing is wrong. Anybody who loots a store deserves a bullet in their head.

I see no problem with people taking food and necessities. Stealing expensive shit that you can't eat or drink is still stealing. However I myself would be down there as well.

BTW, New Orleans is in martial law. Police are free to do anything they want at their own discretion as long as they consider it to be helping in the long run.

If you have to steal a few things to feed your family then whatever. However, looting a jewelry store is pure greed. A bunch of stupid people trying to get their dirty hands on some luxury items without working for it.

The people that own shops won't be there. Pretty much the only people there are the poor people(generally blacks) that didn't have transportation. They did have a mandatory evacuation and all.

Maybe some won't maybe some will. All I know is if I owned a electronics store or a store with valuables I would have booby trapped the hell out of it before I left town.

What if I didn't have insurance? Insurance doesn't pay right away either and there's lots of red tape. The time it takes to get you merchandise back can cost put you out of business and ruin your lively hood. Oh and there's no such thing as completely insured there's always a deductible.

Question 2: Do you guys believe stealing is OK?

The masses looting is an obvious sign to me that the system put in place by our forefathers does not work for our kind. It is an obvious call for us to look at society and make long overdue changes.. Any Suggestions?

Example:

My city is completely flooded up to the roofs. Myself and my one year old daughter are starving for food and dehydrating and my home has been completely demolished. My daughter also needs diapers. There is a store a few blocks away that isnt as badly flooded. However there is nobody there to charge me for what I would normally buy. Fuck it I'm going in because my daughter is starving and I don't give a fuck who gets in my way.

If you had no insurance you would be pretty dumb, especially in a city with a high crime rate, a high possibility of natural disaster, and simply because accidents like electrical fires happen all the time. If you cared enough about material possessions to kill someone over them, yet you didn't have insurance I would suggest a reevaluation of your priorities.

Insurance companies are probably required to pay off claims, especially when a person's livelihood relies upon it, within a reasonable amount of time. I'm not an expert or anything but I doubt a company that relies completely on these business owners would simply neglect paying them at least enough to live off of. If they did they would surely face lawsuits and substantial losses in business. It is a service industy after all.

Personally, I just don't see how anyone could value material possessions more than anorther person's life, no matter how worthy of life you think that person to be.
