Like I bought the drukqs album today and noticed the parental advisory. And isnt it just music? Like no profanities or nothin. But at the same time I can see how this isnt kids music. But whats the story behind this?
Probably because of "scary imagery" or something. For reference, let me post a few Aphex Twin album covers that would not be child-friendly:
Richard D. James album
...I Care Because You Do album
Come to Daddy EP
If you've ever heard the song "Come to Daddy," you can imagine how it would likely scare the living hell out of children.
I want your soul. I will eat your soul. Come to Daddy! Come to Daddy! Come to Daddy! Come to Mummy!
...yeah. Not child-friendly. ESPECIALLY the music videos.
Aphex Twin is a great music artist, by the way . Listen to any of the albums, especially: Selected Ambient Works 85-92, Selected Ambient Works II, Richard D. James, Caustic Window, Drukgs, and anything from The Analord Series. From catchy to outright fucked up creepy.
