sterilizing perlite vrmeculite

do i need to sterilize perlite and vermeculite?

if so how?

it's not required
but you can bake it at 350*F for an hour
if you want to be extra careful.

The best time to sterilize perlite is after you've harvested. If you got casing or substrate or whatever on the perlite, it's a good idea to clean it up. Dump it into an oven safe bag (turkey bag) and place in the oven at 350. It'll be really hot when finished, but clean.
