I used ubuntu for about a month.  It was really nice, but after a month I got kinda sick of it and had to go back to slackware :smirk:

Ubuntu's great though, I got my dad to try it out ... even though he has no real interest in learning anything about linux or the CLI.

I can't really explain it. I guess I just feel at home with slackware. I've used it longer than any other distro.

Ubuntu also actually froze on me once, which is when I decided to go back to slack ...

ubuntu froze on me once too... when i tried to open xmms. thats when i went back to a dual boot gentoo/freebsd

well, that sucks. so far so good for me. I really like this distro :thumbup: been very stable.
