Drum machines, Synth, Theremin, and noise.
    #4568100 - 08/22/05 10:33 PM (11 years, 3 months ago)

Well...

Ive come to a point in my life where most of all, all i want is to strap on studio headphones and rock back and forth to blast beats or white noise courtesy of anything ranging from tygr!tygr! - throbbing gristle - pig destroyer - agoraphobic nosebleed - daughters, hair police, or wolfeyes.

I can hardly fathom anything that i appreciate beyond music which violently assails my aural cavity. There's something about noise which challenges me to experience emotions in a spectrum im normally incapable of acknoledging.

The idea of sequencing, sampling, distortion loops, and blast beats. The act of producing something so veil that everyone moves as far away as possible as your soul screams out...

Any noise freaks?

I want to learn more about homemade instruments and producing noise.

Ideas, how to's, or directions would be great.

Or maybe i scared you.

Ive got a jam space!

buy "Songs About Fucking" by Big Black, if you've never heard them then listen to the song titled "Fish Fry", I think you'll like it.

Throbbing Gristle? excellent choice.

Oh man, i checked out Einsturzende Neubauten, very good!

Ive also been listening to a little bit of Merzbow (did you know he released some of his records with 4 holes, so that they played funky and sounded different everytime?)

Aswell as: Melt Banana, The residents, and the boredoms. (the boredoms w. ween is awesome)

My good friend has a sampler and an 8 track.. we're going to start playing around.

i love pig destroyer. dillanger escape plan also. agoraphobic nosebleed was the first grind band i was introduced to, and will always be my fav.

there are some tracks out there and are just so fucking pure. primal screams. you actually beleive this person is crying out to you in terror as they are being murdered bloody murdered.

sometimes i get lost in the chaos of screams. its intense to say the least.

As my pupils fluttered and tried to fly out of my skull I asked myself, "Is THIS what you want?".
Screaming until my lungs bled, I simply replied "No!"

I usually feel that grindcore vocal styles are more of a push to offend..
