if you take a few precautions you can get a surprisingly good/sturdy paint ob from cans....

anthing artsy should be done by airbrush.

spray paint will leave your car dull (like H13's car above)
& its really easy to overspray with a can and have the paint run, & theres nothnig you can do about it till it dries.
then fixing the run will lead you into more problems.

if you want it to look custom, clean, glossy, tight, professional,
have it done by a professional.

if you want it to look like SHIT,
have an amatuer with no paint skills do it.

a long time back we made an old brown car into a slick old black car with silver racing stripes.. spent 10 bucks on normal spraypaint for this procedure. then my friend let people spray stuff all over it and someone put copkiller on the side

Dont do it unless you know someone who knows what they're doing. Painting cars is hard, you'll have a paint job that looks shit whilst peeling off. And dont go to Maaco.

first of all,40. it's not supposed to be glossy,it's a flat black paint....ohh and fuck you,some people care more about the car,and the drive,than the looks....


Blaney here's some simple ones that make a huge difference...

: get a MASSIVE amount of cans....

:never use more than 2/3rds of the paint in each can(use it for something else)

: get a big bucket,or pan with a little hotter than room/outside temp. water let them sit in there the whole time until you lay it on....(keeps it nice and smooth,no splotches)...


:use a good 2" or so to over lap over each pass...i'd use more,but just don't make it run.....



i got a few more written down somewhere....

ohhh,and the most important step,haha, give your whole car a super good wash a bit before hand.....

then sand it down(block sand if your fancy) just enough to be kinda rough....other wise all that pretty paint will come right off.....

the sanding takes the longest,but if you sand good,your paint will look a-fucking-masing....
