Ash catchers for bongs

How much do these usually go for? There's only one real killer headshop in NYC that I've found, and they sell em for a going rate of about 60. Which is pricey, though they are fucking sweet works of glassblowing..

Why would you need an Ash Catcher for a bong.

Wouldn't the water do a pretty good job of catching the ash????????

Ive seen some around here for less, they where pretty simple tho.

I am not sure how i feel about an ash catcher. I guess it keeps the bong clean. I havent smoked with them enough tho.

Not really necessary. They also break pretty easily. We used to call the bong with and ash catcher the Contraption. But, it broke, ash catchers are ususally not very stable.
