this may be a topic for OTD, but i thought I should share this with you all right now.

Did you know that blackheads glow orange in the blacklight?! I had no idea until just a few minutes ago!

I'm on my last trip until I can get into my brains own natural DMT. My girl is comming home tommorrow from out of town, and as of tommorrow I'm a changed man.

I realized tonight that mushrooms really have done nothing but confuse me this whole time. I used to call it inspiration, but now i realise that all of my most interesting, progressive, and divine realizations came when I was OFF of mushrooms, and was trying to comprehend what the hell they did to me!

It wasn't divine inspiration on the part of the mushroom, it was trying to make sense of the confusion. I admit, that without that confusion, I may never have come to those divine conclusions, but i don't need mushroom confusion anymore. I've got enough uncertainty everywhere else in life...

it's been a great psychedelic couple of years, but it's time to grow up and move on. Maybe some time in the far off future, I'll be seeing my mushroom friends again. Maybe not. They truely are a godly gift, but i can't help but handle them with the immaturity of a child. I think a lot of us have that problem. So i'd rather just stay away than desecrate them.

But of course, I will be sticking around the shroomery! This place is just too cool... plus the rest of the net is lame and there isn't much else to surf besides porn and bullshit philosophy stuff that is hard to read on the computer screen... I'd rather read it on paper.

totally understand where u are coming from.. i kinda look at myself and im like.. damn im a grown adult and im still hooked on drugs.. going thru college and what not.. prolly the reason ive given up smokin weed but def i could never leave my best friend the mushroom.. lol.. too much fun.. best of luck quiting thou if thats what ur heart desires.. see ya around dude

nah shrooms inspire me, I like to trip..one day I might look at it different, but I highly doubt it...I have been into this lifestyle for almost half my life..and I still enjoy it...but it is your life..enjoy..peace. :sun:

I dont feel that shrooms have a negative effect on me. The day after I trip, my mind feels acute and focused. When I trip, I feel life as it is. I can see through people, their aura, their nature just by the way they act.

Mescaline has a similar effect, but for me it is more of a drug that I use to appreciate nature and my surroundings. The true spritual drug.

LSD is alright too, but I really dont get anything out of it. Feels like a long roller coaster ride, having me wondering what the fuck happened the night before.

In fact, if I could have shrooms, mesc, and maybe a little nugget, I would never touch another drug again.

Mushies make me realize something spiritual, something that cant really be put in words. Hallucinations arent shit you see that no one else does, but maybe something that's there that no one can see but you.

I support your break from it 100% though, it only makes you appreciate the next trip that much more.

mushrooms are cool, I have done LSD way more times then shrooms, but the feeling you get from shrooms is so spiritual and a nicer body high..is a a nice fun feeling too at the same time..I could have some now, but payday is not until saturday...I could be tripping now..on some good ones..oh well I am feeling sick and i didn't prepare enough, I dont like tripping on shrooms while sick.. I have done it, it makes the trip not as fun..

I can relate to that. but, it gives me a context for those progressive thoughts. A sort of second self to compare things with (no implications of schizoid type thought in that).

Anyone who has ever thought about something they have done in the past, and has made new connections as a result, can relate to this kind of a feeling. But instead of relating to ones past, you can relate to the present, but a different present. Relevent, reasonable, rewarding? Sometimes yes, often nothing more than a unique fun experience. Always learning though.

I commend your descision though, I see drugs of most sort being perpetually transitory, it good to take long breaks, even enduring ones.

thats why i agree with people calling them a tool.
I consider myself pretty experience with the mushroom experience.
at least i like what they have done.
When i take mushrooms i precisely dose the shit because i know wat i want out
of my trip.
let me explain.
When i trip i start going, timeing the shit to and hour.
once the hour mark hits im tell myself her we go.
i mean i kind of feel funky when coming up.
I kind get nervous till i hit wat i call "breaking threw"
its when i stop getting nervous and i just feel a fuzz if that makes sence.
Basically wat happens for me is i start thinking.
Anything an everything just going crazy.
as my trip progresses i lose track of things i wass thinking about cause i
started thinking of other stuff and it just keeps getting stronger, harder.
then fianally after brainstorming like a mofo i hit the next level.

this level is somewat freedom.
its when my brain has thought so much it just lets go.

u can find urself in ur messy room wanting to clean it so bad for some
reason.
but not being able to do it.
where to start.
I cant wtf!
im trying.
but im just standing here.
pick up them pants.
wait clean that trash.
fuk get the dishes.
wait a second i need to pick up those pants!

this "freedom" of not having stress at the time, not worrying.

I love that feeling a freedom and that is my goal to all trips.



Makes me know i have the power to be something better.

So refering to ur post im gunna have to say that its not the trip itself,
i mean the visuals are good but honeslty i could do without, i mean sometimes
they can get scary.
its the job i want to get done.
get the "tool" to fix me(get me on track)
the stuff after is my goal.

not saying i need the stuff but im using it to help cause it works so good.

at this time im very drunk and very high so i hope this makes sence

I would say that the confusion results from the breaking down of your previos conceptions of life and reality which is realy the whole point. Some people find their epiphanies durring and you find them after. That doesn't mean that the mushroom are not doing thier job. But it is good to step back from things occationaly so enjoy the vacation and you will enjoy the return all the more.

I wonder why that is... it is interesting. I always get paranoid under blacklights... I'll see someone else under one and all kinds of physical imperfections show up on them and I wonder if the same happens to me... but it's shortlived... I have a crown on one of my front teeth and it shows up darker than the rest of em under black light. pisses me off
