Sure thing!

I was on a call (a miss-route, so I was transfering it) and was also at the time laughing with the guys near my cube (drtyfrnk included) about the latest "bribe to do more work" scheme thought up by the wonderful management of the company (Stream International is the name...if you have stock in it, I'd dump it all soon!).

I get a tap on my shoulder. It's some dude I've never seen before.

He asks what I'm doing, I say I'm transfering a call. He tells me to "pay attention to it, then". I shrug and go back to the transfer process. Then I notice the name tag the guy has on: Site Director. The Head-Honcho for the entire work site. Great.

The call gets transfered and I go into "wrap-up" which is there to perform after-call work. I start to "close the case", which again is what wrap is for, but the guy taps me on the shoulder AGAIN!

Him: "What are you doing sitting in wrap?"
Me: "What do you mean? I'm closing the case."
Him: "Are you working tomorrow?"
Me: "Yeah, 10:30-7"
Him: "OK, I'll find you tomorrow. Me and you are going to have a little chat."
Me: "OK, sure thing."
Him: "Actually, you aren't on a call now. Put yourself in meeting, we'll go have a chat right now."

So by now I think I'm going to get fired, as there have already been 2 people fired from my team during the previous week. I follow the guy into a nearby meeting room, and we have the following conversation...

Him: "So I guess you know why we're in here, don't you?"
Me: "Probably because I was making fun of that thing."
Him: "Yes. You were being very negative about the company, and when you are negative it spreads to all your other coworkers. We can't have that kind of negative attitude on the floor."
Me: "OK, seems reasonable."
Him: "Also, when you are on a call I expect you to be paying attention ONLY to that call, and NOTHING else, clear?"
Me: "Yeah, clear."
Him: "I also caught you talking to your friends while in wrap..." (I cut him off, here)
Me: "Woah woah woah...I wasn't talking to anyone. I was closing the call.
Him: "You aren't supposed to do that in wrap. When you are in wrap, you are still billing the contract for money."
Me: "Isn't that what wrap is for? To close the call? When do you expect us to close the call? While we're still on it?"
Him: "Uh....well....you don't have to spend so much time in wrap, ok!!??!?"
Me: (smug look on my face)
Him: "What are your stats like?"
Me: "They could be better..."
Him: "So they're CRAP???"
Me: "Woah now, I didn't say crap...I said maybe they could be better."
Him: "Are your csats 85%?"
Me: "Around there..."
Him: "Well if they aren't 85% you aren't doing your job, so they're crap."
Me: "Um...ok..."
Him: "You know I have three new hire classes in training right now. Do you know why I hired them? Not because we're under-staffed or to get us out of queue...I hired them so I could get rid of agents like you."
Me: "Uh....OK...."
Him: "So are we clear, here?"
Me: "Yeah, sure..."

We left the meeting room and he asked me again about my stats, saying "well what stats do you have a problem with?" I told him the ones I was having a problem with, and he says "I don't care about that! I care about your csats!" Then he walks me over to my supervisor's desk and grabs my file. He opens it up to my latest csat report, and what is my score???

I almost laught right at him, which I think he noticed because he quickly said "Well you only have ONE for the past seven days...you need to get more than that." Then storms off!

I went straight back to my desk and wrote an email to my supervisor telling him I would no longer be working for the company in two weeks time. Later I went up to speak directly to my supervisor and make sure he got the email (which he hadn't, yet). I told him why I was quitting: because the site director had treated me in such a way and I do not want to work for a company run by a guy like that.

My TS was a little put-off, I think, as I am the fourth person since friday just on his team to hand in their resignation - all for similar reasons (we don't like the site director).

So yeah, that was the last straw. Call my work "crap" to my face and you won't be seeing any of my work anymore!
