"From Ape to Man" on History Channel at 9 PCT tonight

Starting in less than 10 minutes is a show on the history of the theory of evolution.

Seems like it should be worthwhile viewing.

I think I've heard of this theory.

It is much more of a history of the searchers for the missing link than a science program. Very well done so far.

I do too. I have 5 minutes left. Waiting to see how they found out the truth about that English forgery. It's kept my attention well.

This ape man makes me think back to my one and only shroom trip 20 years ago. Everyones faces looked like ape faces with a snout type nose. Wierd.

The glowing ape-men animation showing our lineage going all the way back reminds me of an LSD trip when I was making love and dove into the life-timestream going back to the primordial soup.

This is a two hour show. Again, weird about the trips. The image they showed of the first human, the one before the one who used tools, matched the image in my trips.

Anyway, the show makes the men of the 1920s look primitive by today's standards.

For those who didn't watch, these English passed off a forgery for decades under peer review. Listen to how it was forged. They took a fresh Ape Jaw, filed down the teeth to human size and stained it to look fossilized.

Only much later when an authentic fossil of that time period was found different from the forgery did they go to reexamine it because they had developed new chemical testing and never even got to that when the examiner realized the lame forgery job.
