Pretty much. Not that I don't lurk in threads I don't post in, or read other people's replies.

I gravitate towards the "Re: mantis" posts because they're obviously directed at me... usually.

i mostly read posts of people that i know/respect, or posts whose titles interest me, or posts i've made myself. dunno if that makes me selfish, or just selective.

some are just better at rationalizing it to themselves, and justifying it to others.

I often end up typing out responses to many threads, and then I don't end up posting them. I try to read as much as time allows me. At this point I am just getting used to this place though.

I try not to be :S but who knows.

its true. no matter how selfless an act,
you're always looking to get something out of it.
its human nature and that nature is a selfish one.

I read the topics with titles that grab my attention, I'm not more interested in what I have to say, I'm more interested in other people's responses to the topics that I'm interested in. Hmm, I'm agreeing with DrJ's response also.

I hardly post at all these days, many times I'll log on and just read and not even bother to post unless something really strikes me.

It's also hare to moderate effectively if you only read your own posts :smile:
