anyone using hotmail?? question about a problem...

here for about the past 2 weeks i havent been able to log into my hotmail account.. ive tried using outlook and my browser but they all just time out. they said that the old accounts would still be able to use outlook to check there emails.. ive tried going to there site and emailing them but still havent gotten anything back.. just wondering if anyone eles is having this problem.. ty.. l8r

yeah, working fine for me as well.

Try deleting your cookies and checking again.

it's because you are using outlook, which uses pop or
imap (probably pop) to pull mail down.

odds are, you can log in through the web interface, but
your account no longer is permitted free pop/imap access.

verify your user/pass in webmail first to make sure your
account is still active (they deactivate after 30 days of
inactivity) if that is the case, they probably cut off your
free pop/imap access.

i have tried loging in threw the web page and using outlook, my hotmail accounts are 4-10 yrs old last i heard that outlook would still work for them, just not the new accounts. but every time i log in to the website and enter my info the page times out.
i tired deleating my cookies and loging in from the website but it still timed out..
any other ideas?? TY all for the info:)
