Here is the problem

i think this is funny. This is how i see it. I dont understand some things. I realize this constantly, but listen. I am taking a course in Geology at my local community collge, OK, you say, thats great. Well, it is. I find it quite interesting, and such, but there is a problem you see. I find it hard to grasp that what we know 'now' is correct because what we knew before was wrong. Do you see what im saying? How can what we know now is correct, its IMPOSSIBLE. There will be discoveries in the future to throw all of this bullhonkey out of wack. Ok, then. Why must they teach it as though its gospel? Blah, they could at least add a little bit of "hey, we really have no idea whats going on in this world of ours!!!!".. but of course, they dont. That would kinda devalidate it, eh?.. but listen, im going to conclude now. These things either mean: 1. We really know nothing, to the extent that what we do know is in fact nothing. Its nothingness in a way of nothing, you nothing? man? nothing??? fer real dawg? nothing? nothing, man. (i like this next one, it makes me all tingly inside) 2. Our thought is actually evolving into some sort of truth. But see, if this is true, then there must be that point when we reach the truth. You see? Our collective knowledge is getting to be huge, because of the speed of information now a-days. I mean, shit.. just a few years ago, letters were dilevered by fucking ponies with people riding them!!! imagine that shit! Now we have these fucking 1s and 0s pissing people off to no extent, but its in there, somewhere, that everything is. Fucking. there might be a number 3 too. so, i guess, why? and when.. sometimes when the light goes by. 3. You see, Donkys are actually the ones we need to ask the questions too. Sure, they may be asses, but once you get past their rudness and insecurities, OH MAN, the whole world opens up! bye now. EDIT: sorry about the fucked up spacing, im too lazy to fix it

well, I guess. Just going through the 'history' of geology invoked the thought.
scientists are weird. I want to be one of them weird scientist dudes you see on television... you know, the crazy ones with the beards and such that are so excited about what they talk about?

Here's a pic that I made for a friend about 5 years ago...

Notice the top right corner?....

Yep

Hundreds of years ago some scientist told people the world was flat and people believed that was the way it was. We laugh at the thought of that now, but in reality we are doing the same thing.
Exactly
But I would like to think that we are actually learning something, so that our view of the world now is much more accurate than it used to be.
