Strange Wireless network card problem..

Well I got my alienware 51m laptop back in august of last year and have been useing a intel pro/wireless 2011b lan pc card to access my wireless network, well out of no where a few days ago it began only picking up the card as some PCMCIA-MTD-0002 crap and I've searched online everywhere about it and I can't find anything related to it with winxp professional. The only thing I can think of is that something is broken physically or i have some sorta hardwared virus cause I've reformatted about 3 times now trying to fix it and it still picks it up as this crap

Anyone got any ideas? plz help me  :confused:

update BIOS recently? If so you may need to disable any soundblaster setting in it???

try getting the newest BIOS and the newest drivers for your wireless. Uninstall the current drivers and then use a driver cleaner program and then reinstall with the newest drivers.

Ive never updated bios or updated anything i reformatted multiple times. and it still wont work.. It useto pick up as intelrpowireless and I would haveto update the drivers now it only picks up as PCMCIA-MTD-0002 which I've looked up and seems to actually be the device that reads my wireless card on my laptop.. WTF does that mean? i never had to update that device before.. any helps would be MADLY appreciated I'll give head fo real :{
