I think it is the same as gypsum, Ifso i think you could grind up some drywall.
I really have no idea if this is right so help me out anyone

if you're in the states, Home Depot carries it in the ourdoor section, it will be in a small yellow bag.

Lime is calcium oxide - CaO
Limestone is calcium carbonate - Ca CO3 (this is what you want to us in your casing)
Gypsum is calcium sulphate - Ca SO4 (this one is used in the preparation of mushrooms compost and in preparing rye spawn)

Thanks Anno that clear most of it up but I get all thosex calcium componds mixed up calcium oxide, carbonate, sulphate, cloride.
So would it be wrong to put gypsum in casing, or just not helpful to prevent contams.?

Yes, you can put a little gypsum into casing, but it?s not a substitute for limestone.
