theories and systems without any credibly proof or information
beyond their own desire to believe in the unbelievable.

What makes logic the ultimate authority on what is real, when logic itself is but a problem solving method, not an absolute source of truth?

What's the other authority? Making stuff up? If we are to go by what people feel compelled to believe in. The things they feel are divinely revealed to them, we'll end up with all kinds of contradictory information, some of it bigotry, some of it nonsensical, all kinds of weird stuff.

You don't have to use logic for everything, and nobody does. You don't need to do any logic puzzles to fall in love, but that doesn't mean love is illogical.

It seems that some people decry logic because it has proven them wrong, and they simply don't want to accept that something they believe in may in fact be false.

Exactly, there's nothing illogical about love.

You don't use logic to fall in love, but that doesn't mean that the mechanism of love aren't perfectly logical.

Say you're playing a computer game, and there's a bug in it that causes a few weird problems, like gravity is all wonky or something.

This is because there might be a flaw in the math or something. While it appears to be illogical, it's actually a very logical result of some problems.

Your brain is wired, and it follows the rules of logic... only sometimes the things that your brain does are really weird. Weird does not mean illogical.

The sensation that you are not logical does not mean you are not logical. It means that you feel like you are not logical, nothing else.

That's exactly what I think, once I was tripping really hard and my entire brain was breaking down into the most basic thought processes, and I could pick them out and see what what each thought and outside influence was doing to my ego/reality. It was pretty cool.

we are amazing things man.

sometimes I get really anxious thinking about death...

losing my parents, losing my wife.

death is still something that does not compute to me,
in fact, it scares me, but I snap right out of it when I
think about how fucking rad it is to be in this reality
here and absorbing as much of it as possible.

the simple things all the way to the grandiose...

Last summer one of my uncles died of a heart attack who wasn't even 50. That put things in perspective for me.

I'm not attacking logic. I respect logic greatly.
I was just giving my opinion that logic isn't everything, nor can it explain everything.
Reason and logic are only the black and white of the spectrum.
I guess you could live your life with just black and white, but I prefer a full spectrum of colours, feelings, and experiences.

At this point in my life, I don't believe much at all...
I DO try to consider everything, though.

You should educate yourself on the Dark Ages of Europe - a time when rational thought and scientific inquiry were frowned upon, if not a perecieved direct threat to society. How well did that work out?
