Description: Antonio Cosme Velasco Soriano, 69, had been sent to jail for nine years in 1998, but was let out on a three-day pass and returned to his home town of Benej?zar, 30 miles south of Alicante, on the Costa Blanca.

While there, he passed his victim's mother in the street and allegedly taunted her about the attack. He is said to have called out "How's your daughter?", before heading into a crowded bar.

Soriano suffered 60 per cent burns in the attack on June 13 and was airlifted to a specialist unit. He survived for 11 days before succumbing to his injuries.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. He got what he deserved. End of story. He raped her daughter which is one of the worst crimes you can commit, then he had the nerve to taunt her about it. She was defending her daughters/families honor and rightfully doing so in my eyes.

I agree with you DF2K, it is impossible to defend your human rights when you yourself cannot respect your creator, yourself, or anyone else enough not to victimize and abuse another fellow human in such a lewd way. With murder, many cases are in the same category as raping/molesting, but sometimes I can totally see where the murderer saw fit to kill, not saying it is right, but sometimes...

Violent rape has nothing to do with genetics or evolution. It is an act of power. All of you reveling in the pain and suffering of this man should learn compassion for all living things, even someone as despicable as a rapist. Revenge and especially violence are never an answer to a problem.
