wow, nice man. I was in Cambodia at Angkor Wat just 1 month ago! The field on the side of the path wasnt full of water though cos it was the dry season. The Bayon is definately the trippiest place ive been to in the world. Where else did you go?
-------------------- Now I have become one with the universe, at my will I can command the gods of moon and sun to tear open the matter of the universe and reveal the light of eternity. We shall walk through the crack of time and space and abandon all hope of physical feelings and emotions. We shall be the drifters of time; the wanderers of space and the beings that even the gods shall fear. Our minds will exist, emerging with whatever we wish and controlling whatever we desire. Fear and emptiness no longer exist. We now live in a world of ecstasy and pleasure, freedom and sublime. We have reached Nirvana.

Its a Holiday in Cambodia!
So you been to school For a year or two And you know you?ve seen it all In daddy?s car Thinkin? you?ll go far Back east your type don?t crawl
Play ethnicky jazz To parade your snazz On your five grand stereo Braggin? that you know How the niggers feel cold And the slums got so much soul
It?s time to taste what you most fear Right guard will not help you here Brace yourself, my dear??
It?s a holiday in cambodia It?s tough, kid, but it?s life It?s a holiday in cambodia Don?t forget to pack a wife
You?re a star-belly sneech You suck like a leach You want everyone to act like you Kiss ass while you bitch So you can get rich But your boss gets richer off you
Well you?ll work harder With a gun in your back For a bowl of rice a day Slave for soldiers Till you starve Then your head is skewered on a stake
Now you can go where people are one Now you can go where they get things done What you need, my son??.
Is a holiday in cambodia Where people dress in black A holiday in cambodia Where you?ll kiss ass or crack
Pol pot, pol pot, pol pot, pol pot, etc??.
And it?s a holiday in cambodia Where you?ll do what you?re told A holiday in cambodia Where the slums got so much soul
-------------------- You invented the wheel....You push the motherfucker!!

Part one of my road trip to Angkor Wat. I will post these images in three parts of 14 images each.
Here is part one.
The Kingdom of Kampuja (Cambodia, cambodge, Kampuchea).
There are three giaantic Gambling Casinos and several 4=5 star hotels and about ten thousand or more refugees at the border of Aranyphathet, Thailand/Pophet, Kampuja.
Most of the road is like this one, only pot-holed to the max. Even the asphalt and concrete portions of the road, esopecially the latter are hard to drive on with giant cement pot holes. The dirt holes are easier but slow. A bus or mini van takes ten hours or more from the Thai/Kampuja border to Angkor Wat while a car takes 3-3 1/2 hours.
A rosdside gas station with Coca Cola bottles of gasoline
There are many of these in various locations about every twenty km down the dirt red-clayish-soiled road.
A bufallo pulled cart on the road with scaffolding branches.
A Kampujan citizen raeady to take a dive in the water after he smokes his cigarette.
A mother and daughter taking rest from the sun along the road to Angkor
A close up of the mom and daughter:
The rice paddies extend for the full length of the trip from the thai border to Xiem Riap and beyond all the way to the Eastern coastline of Viet-Nam. And they extend to the right and left of the road to the horizon. From Burma to Nam, the land was once called Lanna Thai (Land of one billion rice fields) Now Lanna Thai is called Changmai, int he north of Thailand.
More of the road
Ocassionally you will seen little oasis' of Cocos nucifera palms scattered in various plots in the rice paddies. sometimes, they are reminiscent of Stanley Kubicks grand film, Full Metal Jacket. The battle scene seen in Nam from the movie, only no smoke or tanks running passed the palms.
And along the way, there were two or three of these little hills out amongst the paddies.
and near Sissiphon (the halfway point to angkor).
Hundreds of cattle are scattered along the roadways on the left and right of the road. Kids lazilly lay on the backs of water buffalo and take naps, often holding a switch stick to prod the buffalo into a moving direction.
Frogs were beggining to hatch by the millions. They do so every monsoon season. The cars and motorcycles smash them into the dusty road, dried skins prevail on the left and right sides of the roads and dead skins are everywhere.
This happens with the bufo toads in Hawaii on all the islands right after the rainy season.
Local Kampujans catch the frogs and eat them. Plus they catch flood prawns situaled in the paddies and sometimes strange fish in the paddies from the rivers flooding and crabs are common for kids and adults to collect. AS well as locust, grasshoppers and thety basically utilize every living thing and any animal, vegetable and/or mineral within their environments to the benifit of their well being..
In the evenings. Hundreds of males swim nude towards the ealry evening to sunset. It is a national pastime in Kampuja, Laos, Thailand, Viet-Nam as well as in Burma.
People walk for miles to and from their homes hidden miles off the major dirt road. Two and three children can be viewed riding bicycles. And young boys giving rides to their mothers or grandparents. And then the mototcycles.
And cars as well as monterous over-loaded trucks
which sometimes collapse and fall into the bridges or rivers. Causes traffic jams for up to a 20-30 km.
THere are also day and night, road crews of either children or young male adults and sometimes even soldiers. They blcok the roads and the drivers pay them a few baht to pass by. This can occur numerous times along the roads, expecially at night.
These are the kids and young adults and old men and women who put rocks into the pot holes for the cars going down the oran. Especieally needed in Rainy periods. They find these rocks during the daytime. They also pikle old mortar rockets against trees to warn people not to go into certaain rice areas. So the money pays them for their labors.
Ever eat any of these guys. I did.
It was greasy like a MacDonalds which did'nt change its grease int he deep-fryer for three months or longer. I could taste the cryspy old grease taste when I crunched their little tails between my teeth.
A close up.
A Brahman Gao (pronounced as go, a cow).
I have 18 more images to add to this post here in this part one. The images will fill into the large text in the center of this post. Please be patient as I add in the missing 18 images in this post.

Part Two will appear in the next reply to this post in a day or so..
