Re: Being a homosexual. [Re: RandalFlagg]

Gays definetly fill in a gap in society. Women like to look up to men, and when it comes to owning hair salons and interior design studios, I see a lot of gay owners (or at least very flamboyant males). I havent met too many gay people personnally, but the ones that I did meet, lisp and everything, were still pretty cool.

This one time I got in this huge debate with this one gay dude about X, I was bashing it and he was trying to say that it was harmless. Then he busted out this phonebook-thickness book about it and started reading from it, and I told him he couldnt even pronounce half the words he was reading and busted the whole neurotoxicity levels gig, and got pissed off, because I kinda have an anger problem.

Know one knows what makes gays gay, everyone's bicurious to a certain extent, some are just more (or much more) than others. I dont feel that one should 'come out' at all, just do whatever the fuck you want, and ignore what everyone says. 90% of the population is stupid as fuck anyways.

Just be glad you weren't born with down syndrome or paralyzed for half your body or something.

I dunno man, being gay in Toronto is cool...like there are soooo many gay people, so if you want to move up here, you'd be super comfortable. Apparently Toronto has now become more "gay" then SanFransisco.... The thing is I've never really thought twice about people being gay. My boss is gay, one of my closest friends is gay, I had 2 gay cousins (from the same parents.....however I'm a nature over nurture believer) not to mention its nothing for chicks to make-out with each other (hey why isn't that all taboo and stuff?) Dude I think you should just do it, come out, you can't live a lie forever.

I say If your gay, good for you man. It's your choice if you want to come out or not. At least your telling someone. And toronto is quite a "gay" city but is very open about it and cool.

Having a fucked up childhood isn't necessarily going to make you gay. I know some gay guys who were raised in ideal homes and have very supportive and accepting parents, and they are quite happy and successful.

Beastiality is not consensual, you can't ask an animal if it wants to have sex. Necrophilia is extremely unhealthy and risky, as well as disrespectful to a corpse.

It's probably pretty hard to accept that there's nothing wrong with you, especially if you've been raised in a situation where homosexuality is frowned upon. I have a friend who has told me in private that he was gay, only to deny it later and to continually try to avoid the subject. I feel bad for him because he's obviously tormented and frustrated.

Do you live in a small town, or a big city? 'Cause if you're in a small town, get out. Move somewhere big. There are TONS of gay people in big cities. There are groups for young people to hang out in safe environments, there are clubs where you can meet people, all kinds of things. There's likely some place near you.

Google your town's name with gay, or glbt or something and you'll probably get lots of resources. And if you are in a small town, like I said, move away, register for school in a big city or something. It might seem strange from where you are now, but there are places where gay people can live and be accepted.

I used to live like, right in the gay neighbourhood in Toronto. It's right downtown so it's got its share of junkies and whatnot, but it's actually a pretty open, friendly place, not really seedy at all. I only ever went into one of the gay bars, and it was more like an irish pub than a pick up place.

Overall, it's a pretty nice part of town. There's some good restaurants and markets, and it's not really sleazy. There are a few weirdos around, but when you consider what some gay people have to go through it's not that big of a suprise.

Some gay people are lucky enough, especially nowadays, to have accepting parents, and are able to grow up to be well adjusted. It used to be all gay people had to either stay in the closet all their lives or be treated like human garbage by everyone, including the closeted people who fucked them, and then took out their self hatred on them.

If you aren't lucky enough to have a family that will accept you for who you are, move somewhere that you can meet cool accepting people. Be adventurous, the world is changing, you're lucky to be born today and not 50 years ago. You live in a time where being openly gay doesn't completely blacklist you.

Seriously though, a big city is the most accepting place you can be. Sheltered communities are filled with ignorant people.

Homophobes are just assholes, ignore them. They're dying off anyways, and their opinions are worthless. No matter how disgusting it is to hear them whine about how much they hate being exposed to gay culture, you can be comforted by the fact that they are constantly in a state of revulsion, and as the world changes for the better, there's nothing they can do about it.

It must suck to be so conflicted, but you'll be fine.

The gay comunity is more accepted now
than ever before and that will only progress.
To be honest, I'll bet that if you came out,
your friends would say "le derr".

I know this is off topic, but:  What about beasiality that involves dogs fornicating with women?  It's not my cup of tea, but from what I've seen (yes, I've seen a video) the woman goes into the "doggy" position and the dog goes to town.  That's pretty consentual.

I hate homophobes.  I strongly dislike most -phobes, actually.

I'm not gay, and I have no interest in men sexually.  That being said, I really don't find it that bizzarre of a concept for one man to fall in love with another, or a woman to fall in love with a woman.  WE ARE PEOPLE.  If the male form excites you more than the female form, or vice versa, GOOD!  IMHO it's better to be interested in something than nothing.  I think the real problem is that most people associate the concept of "love" with the combination of lust and emotional attraction.

I think Carlin had it right when he said everyone is born Bi, and is molded into the person they become by society.  Then again, he said everyone should fornicate until we're all the same color.  But it's the same concept- if ye harm none, do as you will.

If a gay man told me he was in love with me, or attracted to me, I'd be flattered.  I wouldn't sleep with him, but I'd be flattered nonetheless.

I'm an avid poster of the shroomery but made up a name just to voice my opnion in fear of opposition from posters who I'm familiar in fear of being flamed. I won't ever read this post I would just like to explain what I feel deep inside.

I do not choose to be this way and if I could be straight then by all means I'd fucking be straight. Who wants to be harrassed by 90% of the people around them for being this way? Anyone that thinks its a choice well I would fuck you in the eyesocket and leave you for dead with no regret at all. I'm tired of hiding in the closet I'm tired of this life I might as well take it but I'm too much of a pussy.

Why the fuck did I turn out this way. Natures reaction to population control? Why the fuck am I this way? I guess from a fucked up childhood growing up. I am completely in the closet with my entire family and all my friends and even make up straight relationships just to fit in. Could you imagine if everyone was gay except YOU and you made up gay relationships just to fit in? It's pure hell but I strive to be accepted by my friends and family whom I love and will never come out about how I truely am heh. I am one of the most kind and honest people I know and have changed many bad people that lie/cheat/steal just because I'm fucking full of forgiveness for all no matter what.

Why should homosexuality be accepted in society. If it is then why isn't beastality? or necrophilia? What is the right way of passage? Being true to thyself and others and upholding to the standard morals that society *attempts* to at the very slightiest to upload to?

I don't know what I'm asking I just wish I could put you all in my shoes for just one second.

I feel very bad for you, and it's really unfortunate that you have to live the way you do simply because of something you inherited at birth (Being gay is widely accepted as genetic. Trait:Sexuality Characteristic: Gay/straight) Twins raised in a completely different environment have 80% chance to be gay if the other one is.

Anyway, you have my sympathy, however there's really nothing you can do to drastically change the views of society, so you need to either make a change or learn to deal with your current situation(as hard as it may be)

Stay strong, millions before you have survived the same predicament.
