question about yahoo email accounts

I recently received a very mean, inane, email from someone claiming to be a friend of someone I loathe, although I doubt there existence, but rather, think it is simply this person harrassing me. Is there any way to determine any of the following:
1. The IP address this was generated from
2. The date this email account was created

I doubt you are going to be able to get the IP address seeing as you don't have admin access to the yahoo server. You could probably find out when it was created by checking out the profile. What's the e-mail address?
