Whats up with these mushies?

This is the second flush of BRF/vermiculite cakes. The cakes were fruited normally for the first flush, they were then cut in half and partially covered inside the cracks and over some of the cakes with saturated verm. A tall wine glass was placed in the middle of the chamber and my friend is using a fishtank bubbler to keep moisture and fresh air in the chamber. Perlite is in the bottom but the setup with the cakes covers most of the perlite layer probably preventing most of the moisture from rising to humidify the chamber. The cakes are also fanned and the sides are misted about 5-8 times per day. The only reason he feels misting is needed is because the sides of the chamber do not stay wet with moisture so it seems the the humidity needs to be kept higher by misting.
These are pictures of mushrooms growing in the center of the chamber close to the bubbler and over the past few days they have become droopy and they appear to have caved in and look pinched on the sides. The caps usually look very moist and now a black spot is forming on 2 of the caps. What would cause this?

mine did the same thing...  i don't know wtf i did either but i do know that i didnt have enough air exchange... maybe the droplets on the side are getting soaked into the casing....  if you let those go too long with that spot on them they will rot from the inside out (well.. mine did anyway)... i trashed mine cause that kept on happening to every one that popped up....  on the contam id page the only thing that it closely resembles is the bact blotch but it really doesnt look exactly like it....

RH is too high.
when you dunk and roll a cake, it's almost like a casing.
i'd bet dollars to donuts the stems are brown on the inside.
pick them off and start fanning.
