how long will they stay fresh?

How long will shrooms stay fresh after they are picked? 24 hours? how should they be stored? is a ziplock bag or tupperware contairner ok for short term (24 hour) storage??

please advise!

Paper bag in the fridge, a few days.

fresh shrooms will be good for about a week..
either eat em fresh or dry them.. don't store them in the freezer.. or try and vacuum seal em fresh.. they won't last unless dried.

some of the veils have broken, is it a problem for me to wait 7 hours to pick or should i do it now and put them in a paper bag in the fridge?

you can wait... just make sure you don't wait too long cause you'll have spore deposits allover the terrarium and you other mushies

yeah thats exactly what im worried about. it happened last time really soon after the breaking of the veil and it was annoying
