Hunting Night Time or Day Time

Aight im in Asheville NC so i assumed that hunting during the day time would be a better time. although i havent found anything i thought that the sunlight would give more humidity .. but ive yet to find Cubensis or the other type .. witch is better Night or Day ? Please help.

I don't think it matters as long as it's around 12-36 hours after some rain, and there is lots of humidity. Good luck.

anytime between 12am and 6am is my prime time.

I would say early morning is when I like to go out (Well..not EARLY EARLY, but like somewhere between 9-12). That way I can usually get a head start on some other hunters, assuming there are any. Also sometimes in sunny areas if I wait to go later in the night the mushrooms will be dried and gone already :\.

I do not go at night simply because I have seen many snakes while on my hunt, and I would probably end up meeting one that way :P. If this isnt a problem in the area you go though, I would say it doesnt really matter the time. Just remember a flashlight!

the shrooms grow day or night.

the only reason someone would go at night is because they dont want to be spotted in the field.

some fields with good parking and a lot of treelines are suitable to go during the day without being detected.

it depends if your going for secrecy or for best shroom picking time. i find that early morning 12 hours after rain rocks, see the ground, and im a 1.4 from the farmhouse so its safe as hell, and i have my girlfriend drop and pick me up by car, nights fun witha flashlight though :-)
