Going on a Central TX Hunt
    #4221350 - 05/26/05 05:20 AM (12 years, 1 day ago)

Well, it's 4:20 in the morning and it's been raining all night, and I'm ready to go on my first real hunt in over a month. Wish me luck

No not recently, but the humidity has been higher than normal here lately... It doesn't matter though, I have to postpone my hunt til dawn now anyway. I hopped the second fence of my friend's property and shined my flashlight directly on the face of a coyote....

Bastards.

Edit - I'm not really expecting to find anything. I've never found anything in the area of Texas I live in to begin with, but I like to try. It should be raining off and on until at least tomorrow morning from what I understand. If I find anything I expect it to be on my hunts tomorrow.... Also, I'm looking in areas that normally flood over directly beside a lake that has nice tall grass to hold in humidity, and lots n lots of cows. It's wishful thinking mainly though

what is the best area of texas to look? i have looked on a few early morning hunts in Menard - far SW of Dallas btw. Dallas n San Antonio. i don't really know anything about it, though - i was just gonna pick whatever mushrooms happen to be growing in shit and search around here to identify afterwards. . .
