Incubator

Hello, AFOF said I absolutely need an Incubator after inoculating spore jars so just for the sake of information I'm wondering, if after inoculating the jars, could they just be let be in a satisfactory environment. They would grow slower of course but is an incubator absolutely necessary?

During the summer (depending, of course, on your climate) a closet can be a suitable place. Also, small spaces above refrigerators, water heaters, etc can work. If not a TiT incubator costs about $25 or less.

you can get by without an incubator, I've boxed them up and let them incubate in
my garage and also done it at room temps, incubators are recomended because it
speeds colonization times
