How long will dried mushrooms last...

I just bought some mushrooms in a smartshop, they're dried and sit in a plastic sack with a ziplock and i believe the air was sucked out a little... i didn't open the package yet and i wonder how long they'll stay pretty much as potent as they now are cause i don't know when i'll use them, so how long will they pretty much be still "good" to use ?

Many months, if properly stored it can last for a couple years.
Look for the storage/conservation section inside the grow/find area in the shroomery.

A friend had some. he ground some up and placed into gelcaps. Some others he kept in a ziplock.

6 months later he tried the gelcaps, they worked great.. very well preserved as there is no oxygen in the cap for the psilocybin to degrade.

He also tried the ziplock ones, a while later. He ingested 5g and received NO effects.

Lesson here? Grind and place in gelcaps and you will be very happy with their lastability.

refering to your question. Oxygen and moisture worst enemes for storage. Eliminate them and you are laughing. They should store almost indefinatly.

Referning to the french nuke testing. That "device" exploding did not have to be done as other countries opend up info in that area of research. the bastards went on with it anyway after they said they would not and put a crack in the tecktonic plate and polluted part of the south pacific.

Sorry for the venting about the nuke situ. sore spot
