I thought a lot about evolution and what makes us all different yet all the same, like language and adapting to our surroundings.

[LIST]
  • Retrospective of an Acid Trip (2002)

  • It's been a while since I've tripped true.  Life seems to have
gotten up and busy for me in a hurry - perhaps my priorities
are all wrong, or maybe I just need to take some time away
from the psychedelic realm in efforts to reacquaint myself
with the sobering reality of making a living.  Ideally, I need to
effectively balance both of these aspects of my life to truly
    live happy. :sun:

Through my experience, I've learned that the everlasting present
moment is worthy of the most attention, and that I am who I want to be.

Live right now. It's always now. When has it ever not been right now. We live in one continously growing and changing moment. Direct all your energy and all your attention to what is happening right now. Don't get caught up in the past and don't worry about the future. All is one.

I almost want something that rotates really fast because if I have that, I?ll know what?s with me.
They think I?m crazy because I?m trying to give voice to that which is Unspeakable.
But I?ll do it??this is how.
WHEN YOU WATCH A FAN, each blade moves within a particular moment of time. In fact the whole thing moves in a moment, but for our concern we?ll just say one blade. Stay with me. Stay with the blade. If you stay right with the blade, right next to it with your face up against the plastic, so you can feel the dust and the grit, then you?ll understand. Spin with it. Always be in that moment. You are free, and you are outside of our realm of operation.
I?ve had a taste of freedom tonight. I?ve seen exactly what it would be like to be free. But instead of being free, it was like watching the pages of a book being fanned right in front of my face. I wanted to fall with them, to understand the meaning in the shadows. But they were dropping with such purpose. They were dropping so heavily. It was over so quickly.
I?ve astonished myself with the ability to communicate my experience.
It wasn?t like a book. And it wasn?t like a fan. It was like the wavering light of evening, as the sun?s rays intermingle with the light of the t.v. screen against the beadboard that isn?t there. But you?re inside that beadboard. You?re inbetween the lines. And you?re marveling at the way the sunlight and television look from this dark place.
That isn?t it at all. It?s leaving me. But
i?ve had a new thought: Relativity. I never understood it before. Relativity isn?t what I thought it was.
It?s reliant on thought: Awareness. Our minds are wired at such a slow pace, and it?s perfect for what we do. But when you speed up your thinking??when you allow yourself to be glued to a fanblade and spun around, and then force yourself to think at this rate??then time slows down. The faster one thinks, the closer one comes to immortality.
Immortality is waiting inside a marble or on the tip of your fingernail. All you have to do is get your mind in there and never come out.
Is that what death is? To become immortal? To forever ride that last fanblade of thought?
