this is what i submitted via there website:
Product Information: Product Category: DVD+R Product Family: 16x DVD+R 4.7GB Product Name: 16x DVD+R 4.7GB - 50 Pack Spindle Question: I've used various speeds of your Blank Media, and have found that your brand is usualy the most prone to failure. Currently, i have 16 failed disc's from the past 4 50 pack spindles, and they are all memorex. Mostly, these 16x +R's (10). I'm using a pioneer DVR-108 with the latest firmware.
at first when it failed at 16x, i moved the speed down to 12, and it would work, for awhile, then another failed disc. I've determined that the write speed is not a factor when using your brand, they will fail when they want to.
I also have 5 -R 8x disc's and 1 +R 4x disc.
These are not the only disc's of yours i've had problems, they are just the one's i have not thrown away yet. After burning with TDK brand, i've noticed that they will fail less often, maybe 1 per 100 or so, whereas this last 50 pack of 16x +R's i've had 10 so far, and still have about 6 left. Number of Defective: 16
and there responce:
Dear Valued Customer,
We are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced with our products, and we hope that you will give us a second chance! We strive to produce a high quality product, and to ensure this quality, we do extensive research at our manufacturing facility, and we also conduct various quality control tests.

Thank you Memorex Products, Inc. Warranty Replacement
I sent it yesterday, and they already returned my email, which is sweet.. but the only second chance i'm gonna give those assholes is the one's they send me, only cause it would be retarded not to use them.. sucks too cause thier cheaper than all the other brands of dvdr's...
p.s dont use memorex, wait till fuji or tdk go on sale (usualy every other week)

ive burned atleast 50 of thier 4x -r disks with no problems. That was a year a go tho.
Ive been using prodiscs now from meritline or supermediastore for a while now. I never have any trouble with them and usually you can get them for really cheap.

You know whats messed up...
Back in the psx days with 4x burns and stuff the verbatim disks where always regarded as top quality. Going thru my psx game collection, which is probably 6-8 years old now, a lot of the verbatim disks are starting to get some sort of corrosoin or oxidation on the top layer which basically makes it rub right off with no effort while the cheaper disks (which had a smooth top coat with a dark green bottom compared to verbatims almost grainy top and blue bottom) where still intact and played fine
