Size of cubensis

I've just picked my first mushrooms, but they are all quite small, the largest one is three inches long and very thick, but the rest are only about an inch long and very thin. Is this normal? What size should they grow to? I'm growing Cubensis Cambodian.

The size and number can vary from one flush to the next. Bulk substrates with straw or dung produce the largest shrooms. Perhaps they need more moisture.

Ive read that cmabos can give smallish fruits - but i think most south-east asian cubensis' give smallish fruits and then bigger and fewer fruits through the next flushes.:-) If you want size, go for GTs or change substrate

I've found that with any species really, you're going to run into a few small fruits. Now, if they're all small, it's either a genetic trait or a direct response to conditions.

Here's a pic of PC Cambodia. It's day five of fruting and the day I harvested. These came from a syringe from a vendor. My goal was to use a mutlispore germination throughout to get a look at the variabilities, then pick a fruit or two to collect spores from -- to begin isolating certain traits. I was looking for earliest fruiters / most aggressive / strong perfromers under variable temps and Rh / biggest fruits. The mushrooms in the middle (the two standing tallest) were the ones I collected spores from. These spores are now colonizing a new substrate mix I'm experimenting with. More details when I get some fruits.



The Cambodians are nice and smooth, produce an intense experience with vivid visuals and some audios at 3 dry grams (in my case, anyway). No body noise or other unwanted sensations.

Thanks, what teck did you use for the that picture? they look awsome, so much better than mine, I tried the PF teck and mine look no way near the size of yours.

BRF/verm in pint jars, cased wtih sterile 50/50 peat/verm.

Have you tried B+ strain? Those grow pretty big. I like.
