Purple Haze

has anyone seen it around ?? No not the stuff from the 60's ... the type of Pot. It looks somewhat like this ... I think ...

Wha??? Im confused dude. The strain purple haze isn't around anymore. There are other strains that are very purple too.

I thought it was still around in the far western part of the US.  I got word from a reliable source that the last of it was moving east and very quickly .... Maybe the source isnt as reliable as I thought. :shrug:

Purple haze died in the early 70's. There are still some decindents that are very purple too.

Ya there are tons of strains that obtain a purplish hue, a few of them hazes.

My buddy just grew some haze and a few of the flowers took a purple tint, maybe that's what he's talking about??

purple haze is actually something blown to out of proportion. its just a haze phenotype that was purple. I'm willing to bet 99% of what people claim is purple haze is not

The purple you describe can come from both genetic traits as well as a deficiency in nutrients. Love emerald green with a shine of purple. YUM!

Purple haze as far as i know isnt that purple. Not like many of the forms now n days. Purple haze is known by its aroma. The genetics are kept private and its sold at any real bodega in NYC. Its got an olive color to it. passes the 2 puff test and is very euphoric and uplifting.

Im smoking purple nugz now. Now haze. But its nice.

Iv seen bud that had specs of purple in it when you cracked it open. I'm just saying Iv always known "Purple Haze" to be lsd, not a strain of cannabis.

Purple bud is purple bud. There are strains that are more prone to come out with a purple tint to them and sometimes even a few purple hairs. There are also people who swear that feeding your plants miracle grow will give certain strains a purple tint.

IMO there is nothing special about purple bud other than the fact it looks cool. You can get shitty quality bud with purple specs or you can get some good quality bud with purple specs.

Purple can come from low flowering temps too. Purple Haze was simply a potent sativa that turned lightly purple in flowering. It was perpetuated by cuttings for years but I don't know if its died out or not. I'm sure a lot of old hippies call any sativa they grow that turns purple "Purple Haze" :p

The only time I have ever seen a bud with a purple color to it was about 4 years ago and it was lavender all over .... it deffinatly passed the 2 puff test.


Just really kinda wondering as my 21st is comming up on July 15 and my buddy asked what I wanted .... I was going to make him spring for an oz of it !!!! I was just seeing if it was around the Ky area at all .... looks like it not at all.

Every once in a while we get some purple shaded dank and it will get all sorts of funny names.

I always take pot names witha grain of salt unless i really know who im getting it from.
