I find myself checking out guys

...and no I am not gay or bisexual. I am as heterosexual as can be.

When a guy that has all of the traits that are seen as "good-looking" (tall, dark, handsome, etc....) comes within my field of vision I find myself looking at them. Not because I am attracted to them, but it seems to be more of a "let's check out what the competition has" attitude on my part. Do any other guys do this?

if i 'people-watch' i tend to notice people's clothes and hairstyles. because people wear some weird clothes (esp. mid 20 year old euro-'disco' types), and have some goofy ass hairstyles. :grin:

Yeah I know. I think it stems from insecurity. Some days I am on top of the world with my confidence. Other days I feel like I am ugly and a doofus.

When I see a guy that looks like a movie star I am like, "Dammit...that guy looks better than me. He probably has more of a chance with the ladies than me."

I did you one up. I just called 6 guys that I am friends with and would be honest with me and asked them all your question. All of them said yes, not because they are gay, because none of them are, but because it is human instinct to "size up" the competition.
