Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

It was a huge smile.

I just hooked my office speakers up to my personal laptop and am playing Stop Making Sense. I only have 2 days left in the office, they can allow me this.

What is happening . . . to my skin?

Where is that protection that I needed?

Air can hurt you too
Air can hurt you too

Some people say not to worry about the air
Some people never had experience with...

Aiiiiiiiiiiiir

What are you, in love with your problems?
I think you take it...a little too far
It?s...not so cool to have so many problems
But don?t expect me to explain your indecisions

David Byrne...you are my god.

Last year on my 21st birthday I got to see David Byrne play Carnegie Hall. He played I Zimbra, Life During Wartime, Once in a Lifetime, and This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody).

well, ok if you really think about it - it would make more sense if he said "The worst kind of non-smokers are the ones that come up to you and breath with no respiratory problems. That's pretty fucking cruel isn't it? Do you go up to cripples and dance too?"

but that just isn't as funny.
