Would it be possible to implement subfolders in the user picture galleries?

you can make different folders, why would you need subfolders?

For example, I'd rather organize my mushroom pictures by species, and it is far more convenient if the species subfolders can be made inside genera parent folders, instead of a new parent folder for each species.

I'll let Anno comment on this since he wrote the gallery script, I can definitely see the utility of the change though.

While possible, at the moment I tend to think that folders are sufficient for the majority of users.
