Trouble finding jars!

What the helllllllllllllllllllll is anyone else having trouble finding jars? All of the sudden there is a shortage? Jam season? My friend has been to 4 different wal-marts and other stores and there's NO jars left! Just extra lids....Washing jars when they're done sucks... MaAAaD

I would much rather reuse a jar then go out and buy new ones. Canning season is over and that is most likely the cause of the shortage. Some stores will still have them, just look around.

ACE hardware keeps them year round. many supermarkets still have them- i noticed some at safeway yesterday, all kinds, including elusive (for me anyhow) widemouths.

canning season around here... just last weekend i saw people canning stuff at a fair.... they were canning the wierdest shit too..... oh well... later,
