Mermaid Avenue...

anybody heard these albums? Billy Bragg and Wilco worked together on two albums, Mermaid Ave vol 1 and vol 2 - basically, there were a lot of songs that Woody Guthrie had written, but nobody knew what the songs should sound like, as he never recorded them. After his death, his daughter commissioned Bragg to write new music to these old lyrics - he took Wilco on board, and the result was a great album. A couple of years later, they got to work again, with a bunch more un-released Guthrie tunes.

I'd highly recommend both of these albums :smile:
