What underarm deodorant do you use?

Sometimes my underarms get irritated by deodorants, causing me to itch like a monkey at a zoo, which is just not the kind of image I should have to portray in public, now is it?

So one day, I decided to try a nice looking deodorant by Dove, "Original Clean" scent, invisible solid.



After double-checking to see if the "coast" was clear for me to open the cap and take a good whiff of it... and making sure the Masculine-Police were too distracted by the Get-R-Buff Magazine-section to see me take a deodorant that has a somewhat feminine appearance, I nasally sampled the product... and fell in love with Dove.

I've always liked the clean, fresh smell of Downy fabric-softener, which is alot what this deodorant smells like. So now my dream to walk around smelling like clean, fresh, Downy fabric-softener even in the sweatiest of the days, has been fulfilled.

I may now RIP... smelling like clean, fresh, Downy fabric-softener. :dancing:

It is very nice to the nasal senses, and is "clinically proven to be the BEST deodorant for your underarm skin. (Least irritating)"

Before, I used:



Gel or Clear stick.


My armpits and nasal holes are much more happier with Dove.

Interesting transition, hmm? :smirk:




What's your stick/gel/spray of choice?

I use Sure for Men Sensitive 0% Alcohol anti-perspirant. It's gentle, it's really effective and it's fragance is pleasant, (reasonably) masculine but very subtle.

I use it more to stop me from smelling bad than to make me smell super-good though. If I want to smell good, I'll usually use a little after shave.

Shroomism, I dunno if you have some super-efficient metabolism or something, but personally even though I shower every morning and again in the evening if I'm going out, if I had a long day without anti-perspirant, I'd be pretty whiffy.

many deodorants have heavy metals in them, that can be quite bad for you.

i use burt's bees herbal deodorant, like this maybe half the time...

sometimes i forget, though. :grin:

Yup, the metals actually CLOG your pores to stop you from sweating. And then they can get into your body.

Same here, soap and water.
My underarms usually smell like weed when i give them a close whiff, so i'm always happy with how i smell. Probably my stoner friends are happy with my smell as well, but that's just a detail.
No really, i usually don't sweat at all, not even when it's hot. But sure there are people which can't make a living with out a deodorant, i know some, it's a must for their smell and for my nose.

you dove boys rock the house :smile: Dove original clean scent is fabulous. I used to get underarm bumpies from shaving. NO LONGER! Dove  opened me up to the whole world of tank tops YEAH!

I use all different sorts. Right now Im using some Speed Stick gel which I dont really like all that much and I have an unopened Old Spice Red Zone which smells very good.

aluminum is very bad for you. So are anti-perspirants. Cancer and whatnot.

I only tend to smell after not showering for days at a time. I do have a super-efficient metabolism, but I don't know what that has to do with it. I think the foods you eat has a lot to do with it. Hell... if anything starts to stink it's gonna be my balls before my armpits.

Last time I bought deodorant, I switched from Speed Stick (which sucks) to Old Spice High Endurance. You gotta love the smell of Old Spice.

I prefer anti-perspirant to deodorant. I don't like to have my stench covered up, I prefer to not sweat as much.
