Current events inspiring fond memories

Last night I went to a concert.  The Go-Gos played at Mandalay Bay.  It was the outdoor venue they call The Beach.  During the show everyone sits around on the sand and swims or stands in the water (which surrounds the stage).

As I was wading around watching the show I realized that the first outdoor concert I had ever attended in my life was none other then...The Go-Gos!  It was at an outdoor arena behind Ceasar's Palace and it took place over 20 years ago.  (And, as a side note, some unknown band was opening for them way back then, someone I'd never heard of called...The Bangels!  :tongue: )

Suddenly all these fond memories of that first concert came flooding back and I remembered it all so vividly.  It was a neat experience.

Oh, and BTW- I'd still like to bang the bass player! :wink:
