Probably...being buried alive sucks. Not that I know or anything, but it just seems like it would.

I would summon inspiration from the Kill Bill movies. Then when I realized I couldn't punch through the coffin, I'd take the two tabs of emergency acid that were in my pocket (they'd be there, don't worry) and probably end it while I was peaking.
Let it never come to that!

I'd wait awhile.
Then when I would start becoming extremely weak I'd end it all.

Actually no, I don't think I could stand the boredom of waiting.
I'd do it immediately.

Yeah, being buried alive, drowning, and burning to death...they all terrify me.

Drowning doesn't worry me, but being buried alive, boiled alive or burned alive would all get me a bit apprehensive.
I know if I wasn't going to be rescued, I'd blow my brains out immediately. If I thought there was hope, I'd wait a while, but chances are no one would find you.

I'd bust out of the ground with a stone fist and shoot the guy who was stupid enough to bury me with a gun! Oh, you mean if I was buried deep down or in a locked container ? I'd decide when I got down there, no need to jump to conclusions. What is pain really, is suffocating mental or physical pain? Most likely the fear of letting go, the fear of knowing this is your last minute alive and that you should be thankful for every minute you already had. And you'd probably be sorry you wasted so much time with trivialities. And as you lost oxygen, the battle to let go would still consume your mind. Eliminating the fear of death is what major spiritual movements spoke of in the past, and now far into the future(if we all don't die tomorrow ). What is it, to be afraid of the unknown? Can't the common man lay down his puzzlement. Just be glad you did not die in such a horrible manor as drawn and quartered slice and diced! You would have the time to make peace with your soul and consciousness(to whatever means that will have in the after life ) locked deep below the surface. Just your breath and your mind, your body and your soul, to think and die, to let go. I'd say if it came down to it, it would be preferable over some deaths.

I agree. If I had to choose between being burned or boiled alive, or being tortured in some other medieval form, versus being buried alive, I know I'd go with being buried alive. At least being buried alive is mostly mental fear, just pure suffocation after your air runs out, but being boiled alive is true funniness. Seeing your skin fall off in sheets and your veins turn blue as you scream in agony, that's a man's way to go.

If I knew there was no hope of escape and that I would die of suffocation for certain, i'd take about 15 minutes to get my head straight, say my silent goodbyes and blow my brains out.

if i knew there was no hope, i'd realize i was just being a pessimist as nothing is knowable. then id probably squirm a while, groan and yell a lot and try to meditate. i might use the gun to shoot at the lock of the container to break it, and then shoot the top of the lid or something.
Yes, it would be futile, but i'd do it while going insane.

yeah but it only lasts for like 15 seconds until you pass out either from lack of oxygen or hyperventilation, not all messy like blowing your brain out
