XBOX live!

I visited my friend this weekend for the first time in a while.  He has XBOX live, where you can play games with people all over the world.  This may be old news to other people, but it blew my mind to be talking and playing a video game with people thousands of miles away!

I was playing "Halo 2" and speaking into the head set with these people.  I think all of them were little kids, but it was still a blast.  I ended up talking to this kid named Steven who is 10 years old and lives in California.  Somehow I became this kid's idol in the hour I was playing the game with him.  He wants me to move near him and wants to make a new screen name as a tribute to me.  No, I am not dabbling in man/boy love.  It was just an innocent conversation.  It was very fun, though.  I blew my frigging mind!  Technology is crazy! :ooo:

It was seriously mind blowing for me.  It was kind of like the first time I chatted on the internet.  I just can't believe I was playing a video game and talking with people from another state/country. 

I asked the guys to say "hi" to my friend Sal, and they all said "Hiii Saaal".  I'm sure this doesn't sound impressive to anyone else, but I thought it was awesome.  :cool:

Play Nascar on X-Box Live... that's an experience. A bunch of rednecks arguing over drivers and chewing tobacco, I kid you not.

But yeah X-Box is cool even though I've kind of lost interest in it recently.

On a side note, I just looked at pic of the guy sitting at the computer. Is that you? Is that a Blackhawks Jersey? Are you a fan?  :thumbup: :smirk:

well i played quake online like 10 years so that dont sound so special to me but online gamin sure is great fun.. beatin unreal tournament 2k4 atm :smile:

Oh... from the first pic the guy looked kind of young and with dyed blonde hair. I know who tim leary is haha, I just didn't think he was a Blackhawks fan.

But yeah has anyone hear that 25 minute just weird mind fuck Tim Leary made? It tripped me out when I was sober, I really want to listen to it again on something hallucinogenic. I randomly found it on Kazaa a few years ago, I'll see if I can find it again. I'll post it if I can.

I havent played Live since I got World of Warcraft. It's definately good fun.
