Any Nascar fans here?

My dad and I are huge fans. Ive been a fan for as long as I can remember.

Got a nice nascar collection in my room, basement and garage.

It's just a fucking amazing sport!

Who;s your favorite driver? Jeff Gordon #24 is mine, came in 2nd in yesterdays race, could have came first if there was a few more laps!

Anyone? Kinda hypocritical of me to cause I always make comments about rednecks and shit but Nascar is such a redneckish backwoods sport :lol:

When I met the Petty's at there driving experience down in Florida they were so hillbillyish but cool! Got to be a passenger on the Daytona track going almost 200mph and it was the bomb! I was so tweaked out on Addy to that made it that much better.

My dads a HUGE richard petty fan.
he's got a whole part of the dining room filled with his collection. It's quite impressive.
I myself, find nascar races perfect to fall asleep too if i'm looking for a quick nap

I don't follow Nascar, but its much better then any sport played with a ball (obviously I'm no sports fan).  But I can say that I know the Busch brothers personally.  Or I guess I should say that I knew them in the past.  Their father (Tom Busch) was my Mac Tool vendor in the early 90s.  I got to know him well and helped build a shop in their backyard.  I also would go over and hang out and drink beer while they worked on the racecars.  I knew Kyle better then I knew Kurt, but I was around both of them in the 90s.  They were just kids then and they were still the fastest thing on the local tracks.

But now they are famous and have probably mostly forgotten about someone as insignificant as me.  I guess that was my brush with fame. :smirk:

NHRA is a bore.  I always thought drag-racing was appropriately named...its a drag to watch.  10 minutes waiting for them to line up...then ZOOM, off they go.  ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz. :sleep:

But actually, Nascar can be boring also, especially the big superspeedways like Daytona or Michigan or even here in Vegas.  Not a lot of action on those tracks.  I like the short tracks where they push each other around.  Much more fun to watch.

About the funnest motorsport to watch from a grandstand is The World of Outlaws sprint cars.  Thats some entertaining shit there! :thumbup:

Seriously though, have you ever been? they don't take long to line up at the starting line, they do the burn out, line up and wait like 10 seconds for the christmas tree to light up, take off and reach 330mph in 4 seconds.! It's just awesome!

I watched some races at Laguna Seca when I was younger. I just always thought it was more entertaining to watch guys wreck their jeeps or rigs on an incline they couldn't handle. :shrug:

I've been to Joliet Il. to watch a nascar race, came back with a sunburn anddddd a bit drunk with rednecks.
