contamination question

I recently found a lot of green stuff on top of the compost in my DB Kit. Assuming it's contamination, i scooped off the entire top layer, and the rest of the compost underneath seems to be unchanged. Does doing this mean my kit has a second chance of survival, or is my project pretty much fucked?

its most likely trichoderma. Flame sterilize a spoom and scoop the layer of green out. Then spray your casing with a h202 / h20 mixture. Dilute the h202 in a 20 to 1 ratio. It might help you out some.
