yeah theyre playing in chicago tonight and im considering seeing them. ,what bands would you liken them to?

Led Zeppelin on high doses of every psychedelic imaginable...?

I can't really compare them. They're pretty unique. Definately check them out if the show isn't sold out already... which I'm suprised if it's not, since most of their upcoming shows are.

hmm its hard to say what bands. I liken it to a space jurney in a way with some cool lyrics and nice sampled natural overtones.

Yeah, something like that. Half of the band made the mars volta and the other half made some other band...I can't remember what their name is though.

They have a great sound, but I think their lyrics suck from what I've read, kinda like they just used random words that had nothign to do with anything. Still decent music though.

Unique, yeah. Led Zeppelin though...I dunno. Mars Volta is way more pretentiously art-rock. They try too hard IMO.

i like the mars volta for what they're worth. i also got the impression that their lyrics are a bit sub-par, but the music is certainly worthwhile.

i think the other band you guys are thinking of is Sparta?
