Mars Volta live!
    #5314520 - 02/18/06 08:28 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Hey, I know at least a few of you saw Mars Volta at Bonnaroo 2005. I did and it rocked. Seriously. Like hard core. Blew me away. So I've been looking for the recording and I have had no luck until this week I found a torrent of it. Woot. Awesomeness.  TMV 4 U & ME
  :rocket: :crazy2: :rasta: :tongue2: :sun:

That show was amazing. I was in and out. One minute I was cool, the next minute I was soul melting. Then I'd be fine again for awhile. Then I'd be rolling like a moss coverd stone.

It was amazing, what I can remember.

Iz cool to have a place I can download a copy of it. Maybe It will help me to gather some of the pieces of the show I seem to have lost.

I vey distinctly remembert some dready yelling at the top of his longs, Omar, Omar, over and over again. his whole body was quivering with the force of his plea for Omar. I was like damn. Then the show started and I was fucking dazzled.

I would definetely like to see them again. I saw them open for Queens of the Stone Age and Red Hot Chili Peppers three years ago and they royally sucked. They;ve gotten much better as of late, though.

i saw them in denver and hated it.. really a self absorbed band, i thought...

i definately wasn't impressed with the music/musicians or the fans.

i know a lot of people really love them, though... i just don't get it, i guess.

Yeah, before I saw them I had heard conflicting reports: either they rocked or they sucked. The Mars Volta is the type of band that inspires feelings, lots of feelings, in it's fans and detractors. I loved em, though I was definitely on a different level of consciousness. Half the time I was too absorbed in my Astrojax to remember who was playing. I would be like "Who is this?" And then I would rock out in aural bliss.

That was a great show. Of the three i've seen TMV play it was certainly the best i've seen. Infact i would say that it was one of the best live shows i've ever seen in my life, and i've seen at least a hundred or so.

How's the sound quality of this torrent you found? I downloaded one awhile back and the quality was just awful. A good way to know if it's the same one is because some dumb hippy girl starts talking about glow sticks half way through. Same one?
