I guess I should add these pictures were taken on July 2, 2004 in Portland Meadows, Oregon. I was there for The Dead concert that evening and the Kesey bus was there in the parking lot campaigning "Nobody For President" with the Bus wide open for any spectators. In that first pic I'm the shirtless guy on the right.

I wouldn't say The Beatles ripped them off. For all I know, they weren't aware of Kesey and The Pranksters.

Don't forget about The Who, though.

hmm there's a story in Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test about some pranksters trying to get the beatles to come out to their LaHonda house, but it failing miserably... could've produced some crazy records, that meeting!
