Marijuana: To toke or not to toke?

Well I just got put on a lighter visition time for my probation appointments.  Instead of every two weeks, I now report once a month.
  It's been 2+ years since I've smoked and I'm thinking about visiting a friend tomorrow and asking him to light one or two up with me.  The next report date for probation is one month from now.  From all the info I gathered about smoking, infrequent users supposedly rid themselves of any evidence of THC use within 3 days after initial use.  Since it's been 2+ years I'm highly considering using a joint or two.  Any opinions or experiences with drug tests shortly after *infrequent* cannabis use?  I'd be much more reassured if someone has gone through something similar.  I just find it quite hard to believe one or two joints of low quality marijuana ( :frown:)shared between a couple of people would stay in my system for 30+ days.

SMOKE SMOKE, then go buy some Vitamin B12 and ur in the clear. the Vitamin b12 clears ur system, my friend was on probatoin and he got d.t. every monday and he smoked every friday night took 2 B12 pills and passed every drug test

Smoke but take some detox on the day of the test. Detox drinks work just fine for my friend who smokes infrequently.

Weed is fun.

BUT... its not fun enough to lose your freedom over. Wait it out, man. You'll be done soon enough; no need to jeopardize yourself over something as trivial as a joint.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Unfortunately I won't be done with probation soon. Got about 7 years left. I'm still not completely convinced that pot stays in the system for ~30 days after a joint or two. I do have some fast metabolism as well. If I were to smoke one joint tomorrow I'd have about 27-28 days to clean my system. I really hope someone that has been tested a few days after infrequent use can post before tomorrow evening. You're probably right, I should abstain until I'm at least on the 6-month reporting period, but I really hate having to live my life under such stressful circumstances. I don't even feel like I own my own body anymore. It's fucking depressing.

if you haven't smoked in a long time, i seriously doubt it will stay in your system for more than 1-2 weeks

Hey hey, here's my little story..

I smoke infrequently..maybe once a week or less. I applied at [CompanyName] a while ago, and did fine on the interview. Manager told me after the interview that I was hired and that I would need to be drug tested in the next three days. The day he told me this was a Saturday. I had smoked the day before. So that gave me until Tuesday to pass the test. Starting Sunday I started drinking large amounts of water and was pissing all the time. I upped the amount of water the day before and the day of the test. I started taking a multi-vitamin to make sure my pee was yellow enough (they toss it if it looks too watered down). Took the test Tuesday, and did some praying. Manager called back a few days later to say I was hired.

Long story short, I smoked on Friday, got tested on Tuesday, and passed, with the help of water and multi-vitamins. I also have a fast motabolism and very low body fat.

good to hear hippie  :grin:  i have very low body fat and fast metabo too, so i think i'll be just fine if it's only one joint.  thanks for sharing the story!  i'm off to light up for the first time in a couple years soon!  :stoned:

you should do fine. just dont let it get out of hand. when you smoke this month and pass, don't keep smoking more every month just because you passed the previous month. remember, it only takes one failed test for you to get in trouble again and get drug tested for even longer. i'd say never smoke 2 weeks before your drug test, and don't smoke much in the 2 weeks before that. a joint here or there will be fine. best of luck to you.

Don't get in a habit of doing it all the time.

I've heard of people smoke weed, take a drug test the next day and pass.

You don't want to take any chances though... I would suggest only smoking once a month, if that.

i broke the law twice concerning drug laws in texas, and if i failed there are no second chances. i fucked up a few years back by driving out of county without permission (i was dropping a friend off to another friend's house as a favor) and i got pulled over. the next time the judge sees me for anything it's straight to the pen for me. and it's actually against probation terms to consume alcohol while on probation. although i would have PLENTY of time to get it out of my system, i really don't like the effects of alcohol or drinking for that matter. i get buzzed / drunk maybe 5-6 times a year if even that.

Yeah i'm about to head over there in a little bit and it will be more like once every 6 months, if even that. i just want to light up because it's been so long and i'm sure i'll get blazed even on this shit brick weed we get down here. i really hate having some of my choices in life run by my government. if i were allergic to marijuana and i had to abstain from it, i wouldnt mind. but this shit is ridiculous.

.For a future plan, a guarantee to not get caught in the tests, smoke the day after you take the test, and if you want, maybe the next day or the day after. Then stay sober. Your body will have almost a full month to eliminate 2 joints or so. In that time, your body could eliminate the traces from even a chronic user...hehe, a chronic chronic-user.
